Let's go smart this month. Yes it's punchy, but what a brilliant way to draw a close to the Christmas season, just when we were sad the festivities were over.
Jason Atherton is a favourite of mine for his beautifully crafted dishes. Contemporary fine dining at its best:

Angela Hartnett's Michelin starred Italian-British restaurant

Angela Hartnett brings Italian influences to British seasonal food. Promising an informal atmosphere, this supper should be relatively relaxed with refined, but not over-fussed dishes.

The menu features seasonal, modern Italian dishes using the best of British and European produce in clear and approachable ways. Having spent some time sponging knowledge at a restaurant where Angela Hartnett is executive chef, I can say with total honesty that this is one to look forward to.
